STARR COUNTY FAIR
Scrambles

Scrambles have long been a part of county fairs, and the H-E-B Plus! sponsored duck/chick,
rabbit, and pig scrambles are a long-standing tradition of the Starr County Fair.  With the
assistance of H-E-Buddy, children between the ages of 2-11 test their scramble skills as
ducks/chicks, rabbits and pigs are turned loose in the show arena.  On the count of 3, the fun
begins! The scrambles are always a hit for the young and old alike!

Ducks / Chicks – Ages 2-5                Rabbits – Ages 6-8                Pigs – Ages 9-11

All categories race for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place trophies.  Participants in the duck/chick and rabbit
scrambles are guaranteed an animal, a bag of starter feed and care instructions.  The number
of participants in these categories is dependent upon the number of animals available at the
time of the scramble.  Participants in the pig scramble compete for trophies only.  Participants
MUST BE PRESENT at the time of registration.

Scramble Times: Friday, February 2
1 @ 6:00 pm & Saturday, February 22 @ 6:30 pm.
Registration is 30 minutes before the scrambles begin.
